Admission Procedure
Admission to the M.Phil program is based on a Written Entrance Test + Viva-voce
The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject-specific. An interview/viva voce is to be organized by the University. The candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before a Committee duly constituted for the purpose at the time of the interview/viva voce.
The cut-off marks in the Entrance Test shall be 50% for all categories except for OBC (Non-Creamy layers)/SC/ST/PwD candidates for whom the cut-off mark is 45%. The list of candidates called for Interview shall be prepared on a 1:3 ratio (three times of intake) from the list of qualifying candidates
The provisional list for admission in M.Phil. shall be prepared by calculating the score = 70% of secured marks in the written test of the Entrance Examination + 30% of secured marks in the viva-voce test of the Entrance Examination.

Post-Graduation in the relevant discipline + 55% marks
