Like every other year, JIPMER will be conducted next year also in the month of June for the thousands of aspirants who take Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) entrance examinations to get admission into the MBBS programmes of JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal.
Important Dates:
The national level exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) annually and an official notification of the same is yet to be published by the concerned authority. However, a tentative date of JIPMER 2019 is available.

Number of Seats available for JIPMER MBBS 2019:
For the MBBD degree, there is a total of 200 seats in both the campus of JIPMER, out of which 150 seats belong to JIPMER Puducherry and 50 seats are allotted to JIPMER Karaikal. The course is divided in the duration of four years and six months, which also include one year of compulsory rotatory internship for the award of the MBBS degree.
JIPMER 2019 Key Points:
- The exam will be conducted online through a computer-based test (CBT) and is scheduled to be conducted on June 2, 2019.
- It will be conducted in one or 2 shifts but the total duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- The exam will focus on the areas of physics, chemistry, biology, English language and comprehension, as well as logical and quantitative reasoning and the questions will be asked on the topic related to these.
JIPMER 2019: MD and MS Entrance Exam Dates
Aside from the MBBS entrance examination, the foundation will also conduct an entrance test for admissions in MD and MS courses of next academic session. The exam is scheduled for May 19, 2019.
