BITSAT is an engineering entrance examination, conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science for admission in B.E. courses offered by BITS campuses i.e. BITS Pilani, Hyderabad, Goa and Dubai. If you are aspiring to pursue career in the field of engineering, then you must surely apply for BITSAT 2019. Below are the reasons stating why an engineering aspirant must apply for BITSAT:
#1. If not JEE Main then BITSAT:
Every year lakhs of student appear for JEE Main examination. The second-best option after JEE Main is BITSAT examination in terms of engineering entrances. If you are unable to crack JEE Main, then you must surely apply for BITSAT as there are more chances of qualifying the examination. Every year nearly 11 lakh candidates appear for JEE Main examination whereas the same for BITSAT is 3 lakhs. The level of education imparted at BITS Pilani makes it one of the best engineering institutes across the country and the institute is also recognized as an Institute of Eminence.
#2. BITSAT Guarantees Admission:
If you qualify the BITSAT examination and fulfill the eligibility requirements of BITS, then you will surely get admission in one of the BITS campuses. BITS also offer direct admission to class XII board toppers that exempts you from sitting for an entrance examination.
Who can Appear for BITSAT 2019?
- There is no maximum age limit to appear for BITSAT 2019
- Candidate must have passed class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the mandatory subjects.
- The candidate must possess an aggregate of minimum 75% in the qualifying examination.
How to Apply for BITSAT 2019?
BITSAT Registration involves following steps:
Step 1: Registration- The candidate is required to register for the exam by visiting the official website of BITSAT. The candidate must click on ‘New Registration’ tab available on the home page and provide the required information such as name, date of birth, email id etc.
Step 2: Filling the BITSAT Application Form- Filling the application form involves various steps such as providing the personal details, academic details, and selecting the preferred examination city.
Step 3: Uploading the scanned image- The candidate is required to upload necessary and supporting documents to confirm the details mentioned in the application form.
Step 4: Payment of BITSAT Application Fee- BITSAT Application Fee can be paid online as well as offline. In case of offline payment, the candidate is required to pay the fee at ICICI Bank Branch.
How much is the BITSAT Application Fee?
- For male candidates: INR 2950
- For female candidates: INR 2450
- For candidates opting for Dubai exam centre: INR 4500
BITSAT 2019 application process is expected to commence in December and the exam is conducted in the month of March every year. BITS Pilani has yet not released any notification regarding the upcoming examination and the same might be released soon.
