AP EAMCET 2019: Two Days of Engineering Examination Completed Successfully

The first day of Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) commenced across the state on April 20, 2019 and no incident of any issue during the examination reported from either the test takers or the exam authority. A total of 115 exam centres were established in the major cities of the state for both engineering and medical exam takers.

Out of total 27, 637 candidates applied for the engineering paper of AP EAMCET, 25, 737 candidates have already appeared on the first day. The entrance test for medical paper will be commenced on April 23, 2019.

AP EAMCET which allow students to apply for top colleges offering engineering and medical courses in the Andhra Pradesh State. As per the scheduled released, the engineering paper was held from April 20 to April 21, 2019 while the medical paper is scheduled on April 23 and April 24, 2019. Candidates opting for both the papers will have to appear on the examination on April 22 and April 23, 2019.

This year JNTU Kakinada is conducting the examination on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education) and on the very first day of examination a total of 94.4 percent of candidate appeared for the exam out of total 27,367 candidates applied for only engineering paper.

In two of the examination centres a technical glitch was reported, which however delayed the commencement of examination in two examination centres. The first centre to face the issue was GMRIT exam centre in Rajampet which experienced 30 minutes delay in the exam's scheduled time. One more exam centre, VITAM, Visakhapatnam experienced a delayed of 17 minutes in the examination timing. Ch. Saibabu, the convener of the examination has mentioned to extend the exam timing on both the exam centres to make up for the lost time.

The authority has set up a total of 115 AP EAMCET Exam Centres in the state for smooth exam process which also include 109 centres for engineering entrance paper and six centres in Hyderabad for conducting both engineering and medical. Out of all the applicants, 64 candidates have applied Urdu translation and they have allotted the Kurnool centre with the facility of translator presence.
