School of Biosciences (SBS) at Apeejay Stya University (ASU), established since the inception of ASU in the year 2010, has been the frontrunner in generating quality manpower by adapting & offering innovative curriculum to meet the ever-evolving and challenging research demands in both basic & applied biological sciences that meets the industry needs. Students are nurtured in a conducive atmosphere, created by bringing in leading scientists and eminent industrialists based in bio-business on the same platform. All program being offered by SBS, ASU, are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). 

With industry associates, pertaining to its own group – Martin & Harris Pvt. Ltd., Walter Bushnell Healthcare Foundation and ASG Biochem Pvt. Ltd – high profile multi-tiered program has been designed to cater to different levels of Biotechnology, Biopharmaceuticals and Healthcare sectors. The School of Biosciences also works hand in hand with the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at ASU, especially for research related endeavors.  

Currently, SBS is offering B.Sc. Medical Lab Technology (3 years), B. Tech Biotechnology (4 years), Integrated B. Tech + M. Tech Biotechnology (5 years), M.Sc. Biotechnology (2 years), M.Sc. Clinical Research (2 years), and PhD program in various domains of Biotechnology and Clinical Research. 

Cutting edge research by well-experienced faculty with diverse academic and industry experience in biopharmaceuticals, biosensors, cancer research, and environmental biotechnology, to name a few, have earned wide acclaim and accolades.

All students admitted in various SBS program are introduced to research from the 1stsemester onwards, through the Early Research Orientation Program. Students are encouraged to complete dedicated annual summer and winter internship under faculty supervision completely facilitated by the department. All students also complete one-year faculty-supervised internship program in the final year of their graduation/ post-graduation in some of the premier national and international institutions, and industries. Further, SBS student alumni are placed in top Indian and MNC biotechnology industries and are also pursuing advanced research in premier national & international research programs.

With its unique Liberal Arts approach, students also get the freedom to choose their own minor subjects from a wide-ranging subject of Liberal Arts courses. Students also have the complete freedom to choose their course and pursue specialization in Biotechnology.
