Vellore Institute of Technology has already started its engineering entrance examination for this academic year from April 10, 2019. As per the data released by the university, as many as 1.62 lakh applications were received for admission in various engineering courses.
VITEEE 2019 is scheduled to be conducted from April 10, 2019 to April 21, 2019. This year a total of 1.62 lakh candidates will appear for the examination this year.
VITEEE 2019 is scheduled to be conducted in multiple session from April 10 to April 21, 2019, at a total of 163 exam centres located across India, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, and Muscat.
The examination is conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology every year for admission in Undergraduate Engineering courses being offered at the four campuses of the university including VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT Bhopal and VIT Amaravati.
The university is very happy with the response received this year. Out of 1.62 lakh applications received, the maximum number of 13, 574 applications were received from Hyderabad. The next in the list is Vijayawada with a total of 9,815 Applications. From Delhi 9,904 applications were received followed by Chennai with 7,943; Kota with 6,005; Vellore with 2,694; and Bhopal with 1,654 applications.
Authority has decided to release the VITEEE 2019 result at the end of the month after completion of the examination on the official website vit.ac.in.
G. Viswanathan VIT Chancellor along with Vice-president Sankar Viswanathan and Director of Undergraduate Admissions K. Manivannan visited the examination centre on the Vellore campus on Wednesday.
Applicants should note that candidates who will secure ranks from 1 to 50 in VITEEE 2019, would get a waiver of 75 percent in their total fee. Candidates who will manage to secure rank of 51 to 100 will be offered a waiver of 50 percent in the fee followed by waiver of 25 percent for candidates scoring 101 to 1000 rank.
