JEE Advanced 2018: Nearly 14 Thousand More Candidates qualify the exam

The Joint Admission Board (JAB) has released an extended merit list after the directions of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD). According to the extended merit list, nearly 14 thousand more candidates have qualified the JEE Advanced 2018 examination.

The JEE Advanced 2018 Result was declared on June 10, 2018, and nearly 18 thousand candidates qualified the examination. The total number of qualifying candidates has increased to 31,988 after the release of new merit list.

Earlier the cut off for the candidates of the general category was 35 percent which has been lowered to 25 percent. The JEE Advanced 2018 Cut off for the candidates of OBC category is 22.5 percent, whereas the same for the candidates of SC, ST and PwD category is 12.5 percent.

Steps to Check JEE Advanced New Merit list:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Advanced at jeeadv.nic.in
  • Click the link 'Result'
  • provide the required details and sign in
  • JEE Advanced Result along with the new ranking will appear on the screen
  • Download it and take a printout for future reference

JEE Advanced 2018 Counseling:

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority known as JoSAA will be conducting the counseling which is scheduled to be commenced from today i.e. June 15, 2018. The counseling will be conducted in 7 consecutive rounds. The counseling procedure involves registration, counseling, choice filling, choice locking of colleges & courses, seat allotment, reporting to the college and taking provisional admission.
