Start Your Preps Early:

Starting your preparation early will always be a big help. This will provide you enough time to prepare for your examination. Set daily goals for yourself and try to cover the entire syllabus as early as possible, so that you get enough time to start revisions and mock tests.

Understand the Syllabus:

Before you start preparing for an examination, the foremost step must be to meticulously understand the entire syllabus of the exam. Once you understand the syllabus, distribute it in week-wise and month-wise goals and don't forget to work on your weaker areas. At times we keep focusing on our stronger parts and completely ignore the areas where more hard work is required. Make a balanced plan and follow it religiously.

Design Your Study Plan:

Students usually find difficult to set an effective study plan. They seek help from seniors, tutors, mentors and many others. Try to keep your plan simple and focus on understanding the concepts, gaining command and creating shortcuts. Shortcuts are of great help and save a lot of time during revisions.

Try Sample Papers & Mock Tests:

You must simultaneously analyze your preparations by taking regular mock tests and solving sample papers. Try to finish tests in the prescribed time and figure out the areas where you are facing the problem. Eliminate your weakness and make sure that you don't repeat the same mistake. This will also provide you with an idea regarding which section requires more effort and will enable you to finish the examination in the given time limit during GATE 2019 exam.

Don't Forget to Revise:

The most important step before GATE exam is to revise what you have studied till now. Don't be ignorant about revising the whole syllabus carefully. As you had been preparing for the examination for months, you might have forgotten numerous things. Spare at least 10-12 days for revision, so that no topic is left uncovered.

Always remember that success will never come and find you, one needs to work hard to achieve his goals. So, prepare smartly for the upcoming GATE examination and stay positive.
