IIT Roorkee is the sister node of the other IITs which was established in the year 2001. It was the 7th IIT that was developed. The IIT Roorkee Address is “Roorkee - Haridwar Highway, Roorkee, Uttarakhand 247667.”
The vision of the Institute is, “To attain a global level of excellence in education and to create a sustainable and equitable society through innovative research in science and technology”. It was formerly the University of Roorkee which was later transformed as the Indian Institute of Technology.
It provides good infrastructure facilities to the students, like furnished classrooms, Conference Rooms, Hostel, Seminar Hall, Senate Hall, Auditorium, Canteen, etc.
The Institute offers a number of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral Programs. It offers Bachelor's Degree in 10 disciplines of Engineering and Architecture, while Post Graduate Degree in 55 disciplines of Engineering, Applied Science, Architecture and Planning. IIT Roorkee Eligibility Criteria

The students applying for undergraduate programs shall have cleared (10+2) examination with an aggregate of 60% marks, and 55% marks for the students under the category of SC/ST.

IIT Roorkee Admission Procedure
The students have to clear the following entrance exams to qualify for the IIT Roorkee Admission:

JEE-Advanced Entrance Examination to get admission in B. Tech and other Dual Degree programs.

GATE exam for admission to Post Graduate Degrees (M. Tech and MS)

CAT exam for Management Programmes.

M.Sc. admissions are through Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM).
