If selected in the preliminary round of selection, applicants will be notified to attend an interview. During the interview, it is imperative to bring along original documents. FAEA Scholarship 2024: Selection Process
Final applications undergo review and assessment by a regional panel composed of scholars, academics, practitioners from NGOs, and other fields.
Shortlisted candidates will receive emails for regional interviews, conducted in major cities across India nearest to the applicant's residence.
A national panel will conduct the final selection, and results will be announced thereafter. The support provided is contingent upon the candidate's acceptance by the host institution.
All applications must be submitted exclusively to the FAEA office in New Delhi. The level and duration of the award will be determined during the placement process.
Decisions made by both the regional and national panels are conclusive. Any attempt to influence these decisions will result in disqualification.
FAEA staff and their immediate family members are ineligible to serve on selection panels or apply for the Scholarship Program. Similarly, members of selection committees, staff from program-managing organizations in different regions, and their families are not eligible for financial assistance under the Pathways Program.
Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
FAEA Scholarship 2024: Policy Guidelines
Study Location: This scholarship program empowers scholars to pursue their educational aspirations at any university, institution, or college in India that resonates with their academic objectives.
Duration and Considerations: Scholarships can span up to a maximum of 5 years and necessitate annual renewal, contingent upon the scholar's academic advancement and FAEA's fund availability. Scholars must be enrolled in a full-time formal degree program.
Deferment: Deferments (temporary postponements) may be granted once, for a maximum period of 1 year. Requests for deferment should be directed to the FAEA office in New Delhi, accompanied by pertinent documentation or evidence. Deferments are granted in instances of personal emergencies, such as severe illness within the scholar's immediate family or adverse circumstances in their home state.
Funds Disbursement: Funds will be disbursed directly to scholars, except for tuition, hostel, and related fees, which will be paid directly to the educational institution. Applicants are encouraged to utilize on-campus housing and dining facilities.
Award Amount: The award amount will be determined by FAEA to align with budgetary guidelines. The ultimate decision rests with FAEA, which may cover the entire cost of education for up to 5 years.
Travel Assistance: Candidates appearing for interviews will receive second-class travel support for one round trip to the interview location and return to their home city or village. For female candidates, reimbursement will be provided for one accompanying person.
