IBPS Clerk 2020 Selection Procedure

IBPS conducts a rational and fair exam for the selection of candidates for the Clerical Cadre Post through IBPS Clerk. IBPS Conducts the exam in two phases. Earlier, the IBPS also use to conduct Interviews of the candidates who successfully clear the IBPS Clerk Main exam. But the interview process has been scrapped by the Government of India in the year 2019. 
 

IBPS Clerk Selection Procedure 2019:

  • This exam is scheduled in the month of December for recruiting posts of Clerical Cadre for the first stage.
  • A total of 19k vacancies approximately would be filled through the recruitment procedure.

1) IBPS Clerk Online Registration 2019:

IBPS releases the date of IBPS Clerk Examination open the window for the Online registrations in the month of September and October. The interested candidates have a choice to fill the Online Application form within one month from the starting of the IBPS clerk Registration. The candidate can fill the Application form through Online mode only and they have to pay the Online application fee to finally submit the application form.
 

2) IBPS Clerk Prelims 2019:

The candidates who successfully submit the Online Application form of IBPS Clerk gets eligible to sit for the IBPS Clerk Prelims exam.  IBPS also conducts the Pre-Exam training for some selected candidates under some pre-established norms before the Prelims exam. The IBPS Clerk Prelims exam is conducted after two months from the closing of the Online application window. The Prelims exam is conducted on four different dates to facilitate a large number of candidates. The Preliminary question paper consists of 100 questions of 100 marks that need to be completed by the candidate in 1 hour.
 
3) IBPS Clerk Prelims Result 2019:

 

The candidates can check the IBPS Clerk Prelims Result 2019 within the same month of the conduction of the exam. The candidate who will successfully clear the Prelims exam will be allowed to sit in the IBPS Clerk main exam 2019 on the basis of the individual scores of the candidate. The selection status of the candidate will be displayed by the IBPS at first instance and after few days the scorecard is released by the IBPS
 

4) IBPS Clerk Main 2019:

The IBPS Clerk Main exam is conducted after around one month from the release of the IBPS Clerk Prelims result. It contains 200 questions from various sections. Prelims and Main share some common like Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English. Apart from that, some additional topics like Computer Aptitude and General/ Financial Awareness are there in the Main exam. Every section is separately marked. The time duration is 160 minutes. There is a negative marking of 0.25 per section. Each candidate is required to score minimum passing marks that are necessary to pass. Candidates need to achieve the qualifying marks in each section as well as the clear the cut off in the overall score as well.
 

5) IBPS Clerk Main Result 2019:

IBPS Clerk Main result is declared shortly after the conduct of the examination. As the interviews are scrapped by the government in this exam, the final merit is made on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in the IBPS Clerk Main exam. The candidate is given the provisional allotment to one of the participating Banks.

The IBPS Clerk Prelims exam is conducted after two months from the closing of the Online application window. The Prelims exam is conducted on four different dates to facilitate a large number of candidates. The Preliminary question paper consists of 100 questions of 100 marks that need to be completed by the candidate in 1 hour. 

6) IBPS Clerk Provisional Allotment:

On the completion of the examination process, the selected candidates are allotted the institutions provisionally on the basis of Merit and preference. If two candidates have the same score, the date of birth of candidates is considered. The provisional allotment doesn't count to the guarantee of employment if a candidate is found not to be eligible as per the laid norms, IBPS holds the right to cancel the candidature of the candidate.
