The placement of Delhi Management Research Department of the Indian Institute of Technology of the final batch allocation process for 2018-2020 has been completed. The quality and character of the students in this area have been recognized by companies in various fields such as marketing and sales., Operations and supply chain, information technology, consulting, banking and finance, and human resources. Verified regular recruiters such as Reckitt Benckiser, Synergy Consulting, Wipro, Shell, Rockwell Automation, Texas Instruments, ICICI Bank and other companies are returning to DMS to provide students with full-time opportunities.
In the same year, he also received awards from well-known organizations such as GE Healthcare, Bain and Co., Barclays, Boston Scientific, and BlackRock., Silverdale, Whirlpool. Among them, SHAREit visited DMS for the first time to recruit employees.
The batch strength that sat for the placement drive was 68 while the number of offers made during the drive was 83.
Half of the graduates of IIT Delhi have been placed across the top-notch companies that visited the campus during IIT Delhi Placements 2021. These companies included Microsoft, Intel, Goldman Sachs, etc.

IIT Delhi has an active placement cell known as Office of Career Services that looks after students' need and ensures various student centric activities which come in handy for placement and internships of the students. It's the efforts of OCS team along with staff members of the college that IIT Delhi effortlessly conducts the placements every year. Below mentioned is the step wise procedure of IIT Delhi Placements:
Step 1 – IIT Delhi sends invitation to companies.
Step 2 – Companies interested in this invitation fill up their job or internship details.
Step 3 – IIT Delhi sends login credentials to these companies.
Step 4 – Companies freeze job/internship details sent by the college.
Step 5 – IIT Delhi allots interview slots to these companies.
Step 6 – These companies visit the campus of IIT Delhi to conduct interview process.
Step 7 – Company announces the list of candidates shortlisted by them.
The trend of both the years is most similar as the core remains to be the highest recruiting sector followed by IT. The management sector experienced a fall of 35% in the academic year 2019-20. The other sectors such as Analytics, Consulting, Finance, etc. have witnessed a marginal fluctuation. In the year 2021, during the COVID19 outbreak, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi launched an online summer internship event, in which more than 230 students received more than 300 admission letters and some received multiple offers as well. In addition, the college started summer internship activities for the second, third, and fourth year students pursuing B. Tech + M. Tech (dual degree) program on 6th September 2020, and experienced various international study programs from Hong Kong, South Korea and the United States. More than 150 organizations have registered for the internship placement season which is still in progress.
