According to previous trends and education experts, students who took the July 15, 2025, CBSE Class 12 supplemental(compartment) exam should anticipate hearing the results in the first week of August.
This year, CBSE conducted the Class 12 supplementary exams in a one-day format on July 15, covering all eligible subjects. This opportunity allows those who did not clear their mainboard exams to attempt improvements in subject-specific papers.
Timeline Based on Previous Years
Historically, the board has announced supplementary results in early August:
- August 2 (2024)
- August 1 (2023)
The board has not yet confirmed an exact release date for 2025, but educational analysts and websites anticipate publication within the first week of August.
How to Check the Result
Students can view their results when they are published by doing the following:
- Visit either official website
- Click on “Class 12 Supplementary Result 2025”
- Enter roll number, school number, admit card ID
- View and download the provisional marksheet
After release, students can collect original marksheets from their schools or access digital copies via DigiLocker/UMANG.
Who Appeared & Pass Criteria
The compartment test was taken this year by almost 1.29 lakh students, after the main-board results were revealed on May 13, 2025. According to CBSE criteria, students must receive at least 33% in each subject in order to pass.
What Happens Next
- Passed students can proceed with college admissions for 2025–26
- Others may reappear next year or seek alternative education paths.
In an effort to reduce student stress and rivalry, CBSE also implemented a relative grading system for the 2024–2025 academic year. Cohort performance will determine the precise grade boundaries.
