In a coordinated crackdown on dummy admissions, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) carried out simultaneous surprise inspections at 10 schools in Assam, Delhi, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha on Wednesday.
The operation was executed by 10 independent teams, each comprising a CBSE official and the principal of another affiliated school. The inspections were conducted within a tight time frame to ensure complete surprise, focusing on verifying compliance with CBSE affiliation bye-laws, preventing enrolment of students who do not attend classes, and reviewing the schools’ academic and physical infrastructure.
CBSE confirmed that further action will be taken after reviewing the inspection reports, reiterating its commitment to maintaining strict academic standards and penalising any violations.
