CBSE 12th Result 2025: What To Do After the Result

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to declare the CBSE 12th result 2025 on May 2, 2025. The results will be made available on the official websites of CBSE — results.cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in — and through other channels like DigiLocker and the UMANG App. Students will require roll number, admit card number, and school number (as mentioned on their admit card) to view their result online. The CBSE Class 12 exams were conducted between February 15 and April 4, 2025, and results for all the three streams — Science, Commerce, and Arts — are announced together. Remember that the online result is temporary, and the students will need to acquire their original mark sheets and certificates from their schools. According to the rules and regulations of CBSE, a student must get at least 33% marks in total (including internal evaluations and board exam percentages) in each subject to be pass in the CBSE 12th result 2025.

Acquiring Original Documents

Once the results are declared, the first process for all the students is to obtain their original documents from their respective schools. These include:

  • Mark sheet
  • Passing certificate
  • Migration certificate (for students who are joining colleges outside their current board)

These are essential for college admission, job application, and further academic enrollment. While the online one is helpful, most institutions require the authentic, hardcopy certificates from CBSE.
