NTA will release the JEE Main Result Session 1 on 12th Feb 2024. The JEE Main Exam Session 1 concluded on 1st February 2024, and the provisional answer key has been released on the JEE Main website. Unlike Previous Years, the JEE Main answer key was released in the information bulletin on 6th February 2024 this year.
The candidates can challenge the JEE Mains Answer Key till 8th February 2024 only, post which the JEE Mains Result Session 1 will be declared. The JEE Main Session 2 will be conducted from April 4th to April 15th and will be followed by the JEE Main Session 2 Result on 25th April 2024.

The JEE Mains Session 1 Result will be available only in the online mode and will be released on the official JEE Main website. Candidates need to fill in the application number and DOB to log in and view the JEE Main Result. Below is a step-by-step guide to download and view the JEE Mains Result Session 1.
The JEE Mains Result is announced as a Scorecard on the official website and entails the following details:
After the declaration of the JEE Mains Result, NTA does not accept or entertain any re-evaluation requests. The Score, Percentile and AIR mentioned on the JEE Main Scorecard are final. However, NTA gives the option to challenge the answer key at INR 200/question, and the final JEE Mains Result is prepared by taking into consideration these challenges.
The NTA JEE Main Result and Rank are based on the Percentile Score obtained after the normalization process. JEE Main Percentile refers to the percentage of candidates who score less than or equal to the specific percentile in the exam.
As the official website states - "The Percentile Score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored EQUAL TO OR BELOW (same or lower raw scores) that particular Percentile in that examination. Therefore the topper (highest score) of each session gets the same Percentile of 100 which is desirable. The marks obtained in between the highest and lowest scores are also converted to appropriate Percentiles”

The JEE Main Exam is conducted in multiple sessions and shifts. While some shifts might have an easier-to-attempt test paper, few might be difficult. Thus, to ensure that neither the students are benefited nor disadvantaged, the JEE Main Normalization Process is used to adjust the scores to account for various levels of difficulty in the exam.
The JEE Main Final Result is declared after the conclusion of the second session. The JEE Main final result is arrived at by combining the JEE Main Session 1 Result and JEE Main Session 2 result. NTA merges the percentile score obtained in all the sessions and then assigns an All India Rank (AIR) to the candidates.

NTA releases the JEE Main cutoff together with the JEE Main Session 2 Result. Based on last year’s trends, the JEE Main Cutoff for 2024 is expected to be between 93 and 97%. Post the declaration of the JEE Main Result, NTA sends the data to JoSAA and CSAB for the counseling process and admissions.
JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) is responsible for conducting the JEE Main Counselling for admission to NITs, GFTIs, IITs, and IIITs. JoSAA conducts 6 rounds of counseling and releases the opening and closing ranks after each round.
JoSAA counseling process includes online registration, choice filling & locking, mock allotment, final seat allotment result, and reporting at the allotted college. JEE Main qualified candidates will register on the official JoSAA 2024 website to appear for counseling. The website link will be activated soon after the declaration of JEE Mains Result.
For supernumerary seats in North East and Union Territories, CSAB NEUT counseling is conducted by CSAB. Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will also conduct a separate counseling process called CSAB SFTI Counselling for admission to 18 SFTIs.

The top 2,50,000 students who qualify the minimum cutoff criteria, will be proceeding with the JEE Advanced Exam to get into the Top IIT Engineering colleges across India. Candidates who wish to pursue a B.Arch from IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, and IIT Varanasi will need to appear for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2024.

As per the official date, NTA will release the JEE Main Session 1 Result on 12th February 2024
Keeping in mind the past trends, the expected cutoff this year is expected to be between 95 and 97 percent. Aspirants should aim for a minimum score of 250, to get a rank below 600
The JEE Main Answer Key final is the JEE Main Result only. Hence, it will ne releasing on 12th February
