A public technical university called the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal (NITK Surathkal) is situated in Surathkal, Mangalore, Karnataka, India. Originally known as the Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC), it was founded in 1960 and later changed its name to the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in 2002.

One of India’s most esteemed engineering schools, NITK Surathkal is considered among the top 10 NITs in the nation. It provides programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in a variety of engineering and science specialties. The university has a high emphasis on research and has graduated some of the most well-known engineers and technologists.

The campus of NITK Surathkal is stunning and expansive, covering 295 acres. The campus provides a peaceful and beautiful setting for studies because it is situated beside the Arabian Sea. NITK Surathkal Admission

NITK Surathkal Admission prodcedure is given below 

Admissions are available for numerous courses at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) Surathkal, including 11 undergraduate, 57 postgraduate, and 14 doctoral-level programs.
NITK Surathkal’s admissions process differs depending on the degree and level of study. Candidates should take the appropriate entrance exam, such as the JEE Main, GATE, JAM, CAT, MAT, NIMCET, NET, UGC-CSIR exam, or DAE-JEST, before submitting an application for admission at NIT Surathkal.
The results of the entrance exam are used to determine admissions at NITK Surathkal. Each course has its own eligibility requirements and method of admission selection in order to enroll in the chosen course.

Candidates must participate in JoSAA Counseling and have a valid JEE Main score in order to be considered for B.Tech admissions.
Candidates for the M.Tech, M.Tech (Research), and Ph.D. programs must pass the required qualifying exam with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 6.5 on a scale of 0 to 10, or not less than 60%.
An online or offline written test and/or interview are required for admission to the M.Tech, M.Tech (Research), and Ph.D. programs at N.I.T.K., Surathkal.

For B.Tech Admissions:

  • Original Certificate of Date of Birth issued by competent authority/Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth
  • Document verification letter/final seat allotment letter downloaded from the JoSAA portal
  • Proof of payment of balance fee to the Institute
  • Marksheet of Class 10+2
