Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), formerly known as the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) until 2015, is a public collegiate university located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. A.P.J. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Admissions to UG and PG courses are based on various entrance and evaluation processes. AKTU Admissions 2025: B.Tech

AKTU Admission to B.Tech. First year in the 1st semester and lateral admission in B.Tech. Second year in 3rd semester (for diploma/ B.Sc. candidates only) will be as per the rules prescribed by the Academic Council of AKTU Lucknow.

Note: Admission on migration of a candidate from any other University to the A.P.J. Abdul Kalam University is not permitted.

Eligibility for AKTU B.Tech Admission 2025

Admission to AKTU B.Tech. First Year through Entrance Examination: Eligibility for admission to undergraduate courses in the First year shall be as per guidelines of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) / Related Council and according to the latest U.P. Government notifications/rules.

Admission to AKTU B.Tech. Second Year through Lateral Entry Scheme:

• Candidates who have passed 3/4 year Diploma (with minimum 60% marks) from institutions recognized by the U.P. Board of Technical Education in any branch of Engineering/Technology except Agriculture Engineering are eligible for admission to the Second year in any BE/ B.Tech except Agriculture Engineering
• Candidates who have passed 3/4 year Diploma (with minimum 60% marks) from institutions recognized by the U.P. Board of Technical Education in Agriculture Engineering are only eligible for Second-year admission to Agriculture Engineering.

AKTU uses JEE Main scores for Computer Science Engineering CSE, final closing rank for IET AKTU was 30k in round 8 of seat allotment for the year 2025 BTech cutoff. The IET closing ranks for 2024 and 2023 are 51075 and 23127, respectively.
