The NTA has issued some crucial guidelines regarding the dress code of students appearing in the JEE Main 2025. Check out the following to learn more about JEE Main dress code rules and regulations.

The National Test Agency is all set to conduct the JEE main session 2 exams from 2nd to 9th April 2025. For smooth conduct of the examination, the NTA has mandated applicants to follow a specific JEE Main dress code and other regulations. The NTA recently stated, "Shoes with thick soles and garments with large buttons not allowed". 

Along with the dress code regulations, the authorities have also provided applicants with some Do’s and Don’t to follow at the exam venue of the JEE Main 2025. Candidates are advised to read all the instructions given on their respective JEE Main Session 2 admit card. Candidates will be able to read more additional guidelines on their admit card including banned materials, instructions for diabetic candidates, important documents, etc.

Restricted Items at JEE Main 2025 Exam Hall

The NTA has restricted candidates from bringing some specific items to the exam hall that may violate the rules for a fair code of conduct. To check a list of all the prohibited items at JEE main examination hall, kindly refer to the following.

Dress Code for JEE Mains | Covid Guidelines 2025

Along with restricting students from following the JEE Main dress code, the NTA also requires each candidate to follow some mandatory guidelines for Covid 19 prevention. Check out the following to learn about JEE Main’s rules and regulations regarding the Covid 19.

  • Put on a mask and wash your hands
  • Maintain social distancing
  • Bring a sanitizer
  • Make sure you are practicing proper hygiene
  • Avoid touching anyone

Note: Aspirants must follow the below-mentioned Covid-19 precautions.

JEE Main Rules for Paper 2 (B.Arch)

The NTA follows the different practices for the JEE Main Paper 2 exam, refer to the following guidelines for the B.Arch paper.

  • Students can carry the Geometry Box Set, Pencils, Erasers, and Colour Pencils or Crayons.
  • No watercolor use will be allowed.
  • No drawing sheets will be allowed.

JEE Main Rules and Regulations for Diabetic Students

  • Candidates with diabetes will be allowed to bring their necessary eatables.
  • Such aspirants must carry transparent water bottles and tiffins.
  • No packed eating material will be allowed.

Items to Carry to the JEE Main 2025 Exam Venue

The authorities mandate applicants to bring some additional documents/items to the examination hall. Kindly refer to the following list to check all the essential items to bring to the JEE main examination hall.

  • ID Proof
  • Passport-sized Photographs
  • Self-Declaration (Undertaking)
  • Blue Ballpoint Pen
  • Face Mask
  • Hand Sanitizer

  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)
