Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main NITs Scholarship Interest Form 2025

The detailed eligibility criteria for JEE Main NITs Scholarship Interest Form 2025 is tabulated below:

No age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2025

Academic Qualification

Must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board (e.g., CBSE, CISCE, State Boards, NIOS)

Recognized Qualifying Examinations

- Final exam of 10+2 system from recognized Central/State Board- Intermediate/Pre-University Examination- Final exam of 2-year course of NDA Joint Services Wing- NIOS Senior Secondary School Exam (minimum 5 subjects)- Public School/Board/University exam in India or abroad recognized by AIU- Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination- 3-year Diploma recognized by AICTE/State technical board- GCE (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) Advanced Level- Cambridge High School Certificate Examination- International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBO, Geneva)- Other 10+2 equivalent exams recognized by AIU (with equivalency certificate required)

Minimum Marks (For Admission to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs)

- General/EWS/OBC-NCL: 75% marks in Class 12 or Top 20 percentile in board- SC/ST: 65% marks in Class 12

Note on Marks Requirement

Minimum marks criteria applies only for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs—not for appearing in JEE Main

Subjects Required in Class 12 (For B.E./B.Tech)

- Compulsory: Physics and Mathematics- One of the following as third subject: Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subject

Year of Passing Class 12

Candidates who passed in 2023, 2024, or are appearing in 2025 are eligible

Number of Attempts

A candidate can appear in JEE Main for 3 consecutive years starting from the year of passing Class 12 (e.g., passed in 2023 → eligible in 2023, 2024, and 2025)

If you are selected, you will be eligible to avail various upcoming undergraduate engineering scholarships.

What Documents are Required?

Applicants need to have the following documents:

  • Proof of admission 
  • Having and submitting Aadhaar card is compulsory. 
  • Class 10 and 12 marksheet/certificates are required.  
  • Scanned passport-size photograph (in JPG/JPEG format) must be uploaded by students. 
  • Scanned signature (in JPG/JPEG format) must be uploaded by students. 
  • Category/Caste certificate (if applicable) depending upon the caste or category you belong to. 
  • PwD certificate (if applicable)
  • JEE Main scorecard

You can fill out the JEE Main NITs Scholarship Interest Form for 2025 on the official scholarship site or the website given by the scholarship organizers. Once the form is out, they will share a direct link. Make sure to check the official JEE Main website (https://jeemain.nta.nic.in) or trusted educational sites for the latest updates and application links.

  1. Go to the concerned official website. 
  2. Register by giving required details. 
  3. Then, login with id and password. 
  4. Check out all the details and hit the ‘Start Application’ button.  
  5. Fill in the necessary info on the online form and upload any documents you need.  
  6. Once you're done, just click on ‘Submit’ to finish your application.
