The JEE Main registration is expected to begin later this year. It isvery important for students to properly upload all of their documents in adherence to the prescribed JEE Main guidelines. These documents include a student’s photograph and signature. Not adhering to the set guidelines as per the JEE authorities could result in student’s applications not being considered for the examination. JEE Main Photography Guidelines

Provided below is an overview of the guidelines students uploading photographs as part of their JEE Main registration process should adhere to. Following these guidelines ensures students properly upload their scanned photographs as required by the relevant JEE Main authorities. The guidelines are as follows:
The photograph of the student must be recent and in the form of a passport-sized picture.

  • The picture must consist of the student’s name as well as date.
  • 80% of the image must be of the student’s face with their ears visible.
  • The image of the student should ideally look professional with no red-eye or other problems in the image. In the case of glasses, no reflections or flashes should be seen as well.
  • The photograph of the student must consist of a white background.
  • The image of the student must be properly scanned and be in the JPEG format. The image file size must be between 10 to 300 KB.
  • The file of the photograph must be saved as ‘Photograph’.

JEE Main Signature Guidelines

Provided below is an overview of the signature guidelines for the JEE Main registration process that all interested students must adhere to. Following these guidelines ensures students face minimal hassle with regards to uploading their signatures for the JEE Main exam. The file will only be accepted if it meets the required standards as prescribed by the NTA.

The JEE Main signature guidelines are as follows:

  • The signature must be signed on white paper with black or blue ink.
  • The signature must be clearly legible.
  • The image must be properly scanned in the JPEG format. The file size should be between 10 to 20 KB.
  • The file name of the signature must be labelled ‘Signature’.

Provided below are some additional guidelines for students when uploading their photograph and signature as part of the JEE Main registration process. Following these guidelines can help students face minimum hassle when uploading their photographs and signatures as part of the JEE Main exam.

The guidelines are as follows:

  • Do not upload blurry or edited photographs of yourself.
  • Students must not upload pictures or signatures of another student. In case this is found or their certificates are found to be false/ tampered, students will be disqualified from the JEE Main exam under ‘Unfair Means’.
  • In case of any doubts or discrepancies with regards to the JEE Main exam, students must reach out to the relevant JEE Main or NTA authorities immediately to avoid any further trouble.
