The K J Somaiya College of Engineering(KJSCE) was establishment in the academic year of 1983 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbaiand has also been given ‘Autonomous' status by Mumbai University upon recommendations of University Grants Commission (UGC) and the state government. It (KJSCE) is a private institution that offers bachelor and master courses in various fields. It has been awarded with grade ‘A' by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The infrastructure is one of the strongest points of this college. The campus has its own football playground, volleyball court, badminton court and a cricket ground. The college has its own auditorium which can accommodate a large number of students. One of the main features of this college is its four storey Library which comprises of national and international books. All the books are recent and informative with latest edition. Cafeteria of this college has a very attractive ambience and also gives good quality of food. Cafeteria is pocket friendly and eco-friendly.
