Jain University was established in the year 1990 as Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College in Bangalore, Karnataka by Dr. Chenraj Roy Chand. Currently, it’s a deemed-to-be-university and is ISO 9001:2008 certified. The university was ranked 85th among top universities in India by NIRF in 2020.
Jain Deemed to be university is also a member of Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU). In the year 2017, the university was accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A grade.

The university offers 34 Under Graduate, 47 Post Graduate and 59 research programmes and believes in building the nation through Education, Entrepreneurship and Employment.
