The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened registration for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026. Students can apply for the engineering and architecture entrance exam online. The official website is jeemain.nta.nic.in . Session 1 of JEE Main 2026 will occur from January 21 to January 30 , 2026.

The deadline to complete JEE Main 2026 registration is November 27, 2025 . Fee payment is accepted until 11:50 PM on the same date.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent exam within the last three years to apply. The NTA has set no age limit for applicants. Detailed eligibility criteria are outlined in the official information bulletin.
Application Fee

Exam Structure and Dates
NTA has announced the JEE Main 2026 exam dates. The exam includes two papers. Paper 1 is for BE and BTech programs. Paper 2 covers BArch and BPlanning programs. The test will be administered in 13 languages.
Exams will be held in two shifts daily. Shift 1 runs from 9 AM to 12 PM. Shift 2 is from 3 PM to 6 PM. In the previous year, NTA removed optional questions from Section B of both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

- Click the registration link under the candidate activity board.
- Register and log in using new credentials.
- Fill out the application form accurately.
- Complete the fee payment.
- Select other options and review all entered information.
- Submit the application details.
- Download the confirmation page.
- Print the confirmation page for future reference.
Prior Advisories
NTA previously advised candidates to update their Aadhaar Card, UDID card (if applicable), and category certificates. This was recommended ahead of the registration process.
