In the year 2010, the academic activities of the institute were conducted at the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, for 2 years. Later in August 2012, the institute moved to its temporary campus at Dwarka, New Delhi. Currently, academic activities are conducted from the IAMR campus at Narela. During its inception, the institute offered Undergraduate engineering programs in three branches i.e. Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics engineering. NIT Delhi Admission Procedure
A student need to know for Admissions into Undergraduate engineering programs are provided based on JEE Main examination, conducted twice a year by the National Testing Agency. So students need to apply for the JEE Main exam on the official website. Eligible aspirants are required to register for JoSAAcounselling.
Admissions in Post Graduate courses are provided based on GATE score. Hence, students need to apply for the GATE exam on the official website. After registration, the applicant will get both the application ID (to be used as a login name) and a password. Candidates can submit the payment through Demand Draft/online correspondingly for the course
Admissions to foreign students are provided based on DASA and SAT scores.

The NIT Delhi Placement is handled by the Training & Placement cell which caters to students’ requirements for their dream jobs. Some of the major firms hiring in the NIT Delhi recruitment are Adobe, Amadeus, Cadence, Intel, Cognizant, Swiggy, Samsung, Tata Power, and Zycus.
NIT Delhi Average Package for the year 2021 was INR 9.8 LPA. There were around 40 leading companies of national and international sectors that visited the campus for recruitment. Most of the jobs are offered in the areas of Software Engineering, Automobile, Technology, Consulting, etc.
In the year 2020, NIT Delhi offered internship opportunities to its students, with a placement rate of 95%. The number of businesses that visited the campus in 2020 was 10% higher than in 2019. Additionally, the domestic package has seen a 21% boost. The department of CSE had the most eligible students (55), followed by the departments of EEE (48), and mathematics (48).

ISHAN UDAY: it is a scholarship provided by the Ministry of HRD and UGC for the students of North Eastern Region.
Pre-Matric Scholarships: This scholarship is provided at the pre-matric level for students who belong to the minority community. It has been set up by the State Government/ Union Territory administration.
Post Matric Scholarships Scheme:this scheme is provided at the post-matric level by the State Government/ Union Territory Administration for the welfare of minorities.

NIT Delhi USP
The Salary packages have increased significantly. This year NIT Delhi highest CTC was INR 39 LPA, while the average CTC was INR 9.8 LPA. while the highest CTC recorded in the NIT Delhi placement data for 2019 was INR 32 LPA, while the average CTC was INR 7 LPA. Hence the ever-rising salary packages are a magnet for students aiming to get into the institute.
