The National Institute of Technology, Delhi, also known as NITD is an autonomous institute which was established in the year 2010 by an act of parliament. The institute is funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and offers Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Research programmes in the field of Engineering, Science & Technology, Management, Social Science, and Humanities.
In the year 2010, the academic activities of the institute were conducted at National Institute of Technology, Warangal, for 2 years. Later in August 2012, the institute moved to its temporary campus at Dwarka, New Delhi. Currently, the academic activities are conducted from the IAMR campus at Narela. During its inception, the institute offered Under Graduate engineering programmes in three branches i.e. Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics engineering. Currently, along with Under Graduate courses, the institute also offers Post Graduate programs in Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering (Analytics).
