MIT-World Peace University (MIT-WPU) is situated in Pune- the cultural capital of Maharashtra. Surrounded by the Western Ghats, Pune is located on the Deccan Plateau on the banks of the serene Mula-Mutha River. The city of Pune boasts of a rich and vibrant heritage witnessing the courage and bravery of the Marathas and Peshwas. A thriving vibrant metropolis it has still retained some of its colonial-era charms.
A landmark in Pune, the architectural grandeur and splendour of the buildings of MIT Pune are a testimony to a rich legacy of over 4 decades in the field of education. Known to be among the top educational institutions in India it was established in the year 1983 by Prof.Dr.Vishwanath D. Karad and is among the first engineering colleges in the private sector in Maharashtra.
MIT World Peace University also known as MIT WPU commenced its establishment in the academic year of 1983. It is a state private university if Pune city of Maharashtra. The university has been recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It has also been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The university offers various programs offered at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels that too under several specializations.
