The Board made the results of 2024 public on May 13. The results of 2023 were made public on May 12. However, in order to prevent unhealthy competition, the Board has not released merit lists. This was initially stopped in 2020 when the pandemic caused schools to close.
The percentage of students who pass has been above 90% for the past three years while the CBSE results are awaiting, they are typically released in mid-May. However, it has had a minor upswing and downswing. However, girls have consistently outperformed boys every year.
Over the years, girls have continuously performed better than boys. In 2024, girls' pass percentage were 2.04 times higher than boys'. The passing percentage was 92.71% for males and 94.75% for girls. The pass percentage for transgender students rose from 90% in 2023 to 91.30% in 2024.
Girls had a 94.25% percent pass percentage in 2023. It exceeded that of boys by 1.98%. In the meantime, the boys' pass rate was 92.27%. In 2022, the pass rate for girls was 95.21%, while the pass percentage for boys was 93.08%. In 2022, the pass percentage for transgender students was 90%.
In 2023, of all the candidates that appeared, 195799 (9.04%) scored above 90%, and 44297 (2.05%) scored above 95%. In 2022, A total of 3.63 lakh students appeared for the final exam in class X.
