Alif - Reading Comprehension (20 marks):
Two Unseen Passages (5 marks each) & Two seen passages (5 marks each)
Bay- Writing Skills (25 marks)
Essay (10 marks)
Application or letter (4 marks)
Short notes based on prescribed pose, poetry, and Gulzar-e-Urdu (11 marks)
Jeem- Grammar & Literary Terms (20 marks)
Fiqh‑o‑Fasl, Ilm‑e‑Bayan/Badi, idioms & proverbs, rhetorical terms
Daal- Literature Questions (15 marks)
Two short questions from prose (4 marks)
Two from poetry (4 marks)
Two on Gulzar-e-Urdu (4 marks)
One on Urdu literary genres like ‘Asnaaf‑e‑Adab’ (3 marks)
Student Feedback
Many found the paper straightforward and manageable, mostly aligned with NCERT texts. Some difficulty noted in muhavre (idioms) and writing section by learners new to Urdu.

- Practice both unseen and seen passages; summarize, infer, and work on vocabulary.
- Prepare essays on common social topics, formal/informal letters, and descriptive notes from class texts.
- Focus on idioms, proverbs, rhetoric, sentence-making drills, and genres.Memorize key themes and lines from prose and poetry; practice short and objective questions.
