NMAT 2020 Application Procedure

The registration process of NMAT 2020 started from 14th September 2020 and the registration window will remain open till 30th November 2020. NMAT 2020 Exam is scheduled to be conducted from 4th November 2020 to 30th January 2021. Candidates willing to take the examination are advised to visit the official website of NMAT i.e. nmat.org.in and register themselves for further process of application.

There is a certain procedure every applicant must follow in order to apply for the examination. NMAT by GMAC Registration generally follows below mentioned steps:

  1. Registration
  2. Application form filling
  3. Uploading required images
  4. Payment of application fee

NMAT Exam is conducted in online mode and the application window remains open for almost 3 months. Students can register and are free to choose or select a slot anytime during this 3 months of time.

The total number of students appear for NMAT 2019 reached up to 82,928 and this number is expected to reach 90,000 during NMAT 2020.

Prerequisites for NMAT Application Procedure

Before filling the application form, the candidates must possess the following:

  • Laptop or Desktop with good internet connectivity
  • Valid Email Id
  • Valid Mobile number
  • Scanned copy of recent passport sized photograph
  • Scanned copy of Signature
  • Marksheets
  • Required degree certificates

NMAT Registration Process

NMAT Registration Process can be completed by visiting the official website of NMAT i.e. nmat.org.in. Candidates appearing in the examination for the first time must first register themselves and then move forward to fill the application form.

Following are the steps for registration to ease the process:

  • Visit the official website nmat.org.in.
  • Click on “Register Now” tab in case of new user.
  • Enter the required details such as:
    • Name
    • Email Address
    • Mobile Number
    • Country where you would like to take the test
    • Captcha

After the registration process is completed, the candidates are intimated via an email sent to their registered email id. This email includes a registration number and password to log in for further process of application. They are then redirected to the page where they must fill the other details to complete the procedure.

The very first page of application procedure asks for candidates' personal details. Following are the details that must be filled by candidates:

Here on this page, the candidates are allowed to select 5 MBA or PGDM programs or Business Schools they wish to pursue their career with. These business schools chosen by the candidates are sent NMAT 2019 Scores that too free of cost.

The business school candidates wish to pursue their degree from can be selected not only from India but also from the specified list of business schools in South Africa, Philippines, and Nigeria.

6. Declaration

NMAT Scheduling

  • After the successful completion of NMAT by GMAC Application Procedure, the candidates will receive a unique Username and Password in next 24 hours.
  • This username and password will be sent on their registered email id and mobile number.
  • Candidates can, then, start scheduling their preferred time, date, and examination venue.
  • They can only schedule one test attempt at a time.

NMAT Retakes Registration

It is one of the essential features of NMAT by GMAC Registration where the candidates are given this option to reschedule the test anytime provided this attempt to retake the test can be made with a minimum gap of 15 days from the scheduled test date.

  • NMAT Exam can be taken in three attempts during the year's testing period.
  • After the first exam date chosen by the candidates, the retake registration option will appear on candidates' NMAT dashboard.
  • Candidates just have to click on “Retake Action” tab to register for retaking of the test.

NMAT 2020 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria of NMAT examination is prescribed by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The candidates who qualify NMATexamination will be eligible for MBA admissions in NMIMS and 25 other business schools. According to the eligibility criteria prescribed by the GMAC, any candidate who has completed Bachelors' degree from a recognized university or institute with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate can appear NMAT examination. Candidates with work experience are given preference during admission. 

NMAT by GMAC Eligibility Criteria in Detail:

  • Candidate must hold a bachelor's degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from a recognized university or Institute.
  • Candidates must have at least 50% score in aggregate in their graduation.
  • Candidates with work experience of two or more years after graduation will be favored for admission to all full-time programmes according to Admission Information Handout of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).

NMAT 2020 Admit Card

NMAT Admit Card is released by the GMAC within 24 hours after successful registration and Application Fee payment. The Admit Card is an important document for the candidates appearing for NMAT as the candidate is required to carry the Admit Card along with 2 ID proofs to the NMAT examination centre on the test day. The NMAT Admit Card will be carrying registration details and photograph of the candidate.

Steps to download NMAT Admit Card:

  1. The candidate must visit the official website of NMAT to download their respective Admit Card
  2. Provide your login details i.e. your registered email ID and password
  3. Click on the link ‘NMAT Admit Card'. The Admit Card will appear on the screen.
  4. Download it and take a print out for future reference.
