Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi Admission
IIT Delhi offers four-year bachelor programs in 12 major specializations. The institute’s flagship project ranked second in the NIRF 2020 ranking. The registration of IIT Delhi B. Tech is based on the marks obtained by candidates in JEE Advanced 2021 exam. The entrance exam was expected to be held on July 3, 2021. Applicants can start applying for the exam from the fourth week of July 2021. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the examination got postponed and there is no specified date yet. The cutoff rank for the JEE Advanced Examination remained to be 105 for B. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering at IIT Delhi. The admission criteria for admission to this program required a valid score in JEE Advanced Exam after having qualified JEE Advanced Exam. The final selection will be done based on JoSAA Counseling procedure. JoSAA declares the opening and the closing rank of each specializations offered by IIT Delhi right after the declaration of JEE Exams. The institute will confirm the admission to shortlisted candidates based on their minimum ran cutoff and availability of seats at the institute.The admission rate of IIT Delhi seems to be increasing every year due to the excellent IIT Delhi Placements.
Admission to B. Tech at IIT Delhi
IIT Delhi Courses offer B. Tech program at the undergraduate level. The program is offered under 12 specializations. These specializations are Biochemical Engineering and Technology, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Power), Electrical Engineering (Power & Automation), Mathematics & Computing, Mechanical Engineering, Production and Industrial Engineering, Engineering Physics, Textile Engineering, and Energy Engineering.
Admission to Integrated B. Tech at IIT Delhi
The institute offers Integrated B. Tech and M. Tech which is a dual degree program. Candidates seeking admission to this program must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the institute.
Eligibility
- For admission to Integrated B. Tech + M. Tech, candidates must have passed 12th class from a recognized board.
- They must have completed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be given 5% relaxation.
Admission Procedure of B. Tech at IIT Delhi
- JoSAA conducts online counseling procedure for filling up the seats at IIT Delhi.
- Candidates must also possess a valid score in JEE Advanced exam.
- After the declaration of exam result, JoSAA declares the opening and closing rank of each specialization.
- According to the minimum rank cutoff, IIT Delhi offers admission to the shortlisted candidates.

How to Apply for IIT Delhi B. Tech
- Visit the official website of JEE Main
- Register for JEE entrance examination.
- Fill up the application form by entering the required details.
- Upload all the required documents.
- Confirm the details in the duly filled application form and process the payment of application fee.
- After the exam, when the result is declared, confirm IIT Delhi as your preference of institute.
- Candidates who secure the required cutoff rank can confirm admission to IIT Delhi.
Documents Required at the time of JEE Registration
- Copies of passport sized photograph with date and signature on it.
- Scanned copy of signature
- Date of birth as per the one mentioned in class 10th certificate.
- 10th and 12th class marksheets.
- PWD, SC/ST or another reservation certificate (if required)
Admission to M. Tech at IIT Delhi
Indian Institute of Technology Delhi offers M. Tech program at the postgraduate level. The program is offered under 38 specializations. Admission to this program is done based on candidates’ performance in GATE entrance examination followed by gate counseling.
Eligibility
- Candidates seeking admission to M. Tech must possess a B. Tech/ B. E., M. Sc, MCA, MBBS, M. Pharm, B. Pharm degree securing at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
- Candidates must also possess this degree in the relevant field in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be given 5% relaxation.
Admission Procedure of M. Tech and Integrated M. Tech
- Candidates will be given admission based on their performance in GATE entrance examination.
- B. Tech graduates of IIT securing at least 8 CGPA will be exempted from GATE Exam score requirement.
- COAP will allocate seats for candidates seeking admission to M. Tech program of IIT Delhi.
- IIT graduates will be selected based on their performance in personal interview round conducted by the institute.

- Fill up the application form with correct details.
- Process the payment of application fee after the application form is filled.
- After the declaration of exam result, candidates who secure required cutoff can confirm admission to IIT Delhi.

Admission to MS (R) at IIT Delhi
IIT Delhi offers MS (R) program which is of 2 years of duration. The program is offered in full time mode and the part time mode will have 3 years of duration. The program is offered under 9 specializations. The specializations are Applied Mechanics, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology, and Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology and Management.
Eligibility
- Candidates seeking admission must possess a B.E./B. Tech/ M.Sc. degree securing at least 60% marks from a recognized university.
- Candidates must possess a valid score in GATE entrance examination.
Admission Procedure of MS (R) at IIT Delhi
- Candidates will be given admission based on their performance in GATE Exam, along with a written test conducted by IIT Delhi followed by an interview.
- Candidates with a B. Tech/B.E. or M. Sc degree with at least 75% (70% for SC/ST/Physically handicapped) marks along with a valid score in GATE Exam will be offered Direct admission.
Note* 70% weightage will be given to the GATE score at the time of admission.
Admission to M. Sc at IIT Delhi
Indian Institute of Technology Delhi offers M. Sc. Program at the postgraduate level. The duration of the program is 2 years. There are 5 specializations under which the program is offered.
Eligibility
- Candidates seeking admission must possess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Candidates must also secure at least 55% marks in aggregate.
Admission Procedure of M. Sc. At IIT Delhi
- Candidates will be shortlisted and offered admission based on their score in IIT JAM in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
- For admission to specializations such as Economics and Cognitive Science, candidates will be selected based on their performance in COGJET followed by personal interview round.

Admission to M. Design at IIT Delhi
The institute also offers M. Design program at the postgraduation level and the duration of the program is 2 years. Admission to this program will be based on candidates’ performance in personal interview round.

Admission to MBA and MBA Telecom at IIT Delhi
The institute offers MBA program at the postgraduate level at the department of management science. There are several specializations under which the program is offered.
Eligibility
- Candidates seeking admission must possess a bachelor’s degree in any field securing at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
- Candidates must also possess a valid score in CAT Exam.
Admission Procedure of MBA at IIT Delhi
- Candidates will be considered eligible for Personal interview round only if they secure as per the minimum cutoff of CAT Exam.

Best IIT College in India
Placement: The placement record of our college is good. However, the condition of core jobs is not very good, and only a few get placed by it. Around 85% of the students get placed. The highest package offered was around 1 crore, and the lowest was around 6 lacs per annum. Biggest tech giants such as Google, Microsoft, and Facebook. Other than that, the companies that visit the campus are Accenture, Oyo, Axis Bank, IBM, Oracle, Cisco, etc visit campus every year.

Best IIT College in India
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are graduated and done their PhD from a top university in a world like Standford, MIT. Many of them are doing research work under government. They are knowledgeable and makes good efforts for the students to understand the concept. Instead of mid-semester in our college, two minors happen in a one-month interval. In their website, the pdf files are available for each class, and it is useful if you miss the class. One can get every type of exposure. The student to faculty ratio is 16:1. They use PPT presentations for giving lectures.
