IIT Hyderabad Admission 2024 - Admission Process, Eligibility, and Documents Required

IIT Hyderabad accepts an online mode of application and the Admission Procedure of the institute is based on the national and state-level entrance examinations conducted. The Application Procedure must be completed online by visiting the official website of the institute. The candidates must register themselves by visiting the institute’s official website.

Interested candidates must visit the official website of IIT Hyderabad for the application procedure.

  • The candidates must click on ‘click here to apply’ to register themselves for admission.
  • They must fill in the correct details in the application form provided online. The details filled in by them must be correct as any incorrect detail may lead to cancellation of the candidature.
  • They must process the payment of INR 300 (INR 150 for SC/ST and women candidates) as an application fee while filling out the application form.
  • After making the payment and filling out the application form, they must click on the ‘Submit Application’ button. 

IIT Hyderabad B.Tech Admissions

Candidates for the IIT Hyderabad admission to the B.Tech program must have received at least 75 percent of the possible points in their 10+2 exams or a ranking in the top 20 percentile. Candidates from the SC/ST category who are pursuing admission to IIT Hyderabad will be given a significant relaxation of 10% of the eligibility requirements.  Candidates must first apply for JEE Main and then JEE Advanced to be admitted to B.Tech. and B.Tech+M.Tech. programmes. Seats must be reserved following the guidelines established by the Indian government.

IIT Hyderabad B. Tech Admission Steps

  • IIT-JEE is used for B.Tech. program admission. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counseling comes next.
  • Candidates must submit an application, show up in JEE Main, pass that exam, and then show up in JEE Advanced and receive a valid rank.
