About Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad
The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, widely known as IIT Hyderabad, commenced its establishment in the academic year of 2008 with the help of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The establishment of the institute was set up by financial assistance from Government of Japan. The institute has been given ‘Autonomous' status and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The main aim of establishing the institute was to impart education and provide various facilities such as academic strength, research, publications, and proximity to IT and industrial hubs to its students.
IIT Hyderabad is one of the 23 IITs currently functioning in India and has been declared as an institute of national importance.

Courses offered at IIT Hyderabad
The institute offers various programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and the Doctorate level. IIT Hyderabad Courses include B. Tech and B. Tech + M. Tech programs at the undergraduate, M. Tech, Executive M. Tech, M. Design, M. Sc., and M. Phil program at the postgraduate, and PhD program at the Doctorate level.

Admission to IIT Hyderabad

For admission to B. Tech and Integrated B. Tech + M. Tech program, the candidates must qualify IIT-JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) and JEE Advanced examination respectively.
