The general category includes - reading and writing. There are 6 levels of proficiency assessment which are evaluated by examiners in the UK. The tableau below will help students understand the pattern:

It is accepted globally. There are 20 different types of questions. Inclusive of MCQs and essay writing. It has three section -

The pattern of the exam is the same as the PTE academic. The only exception in PTE Academic online is that the test can be given at any mobile location. The result of the academic online test is available within 48 hours (about 2 days). It is mandatory to note that visa application is not valid on PTE Academic online. There is no comparison between the two. They test the same language i.e. English. The only difference is the mode of examination and pattern
PTE is a computer-based test that assesses the English language skill of non-native English speakers. PTE is a crucial requirement for admissions in universities/colleges.
There is no passing score in PTE. The range of PTE scores is from 10 - 90. However, any score between the range of 65- 75 can help students get admission in top universities.
Currently there are 74 countries accepting PTE for admissions including all study abroad destinations - USA, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Germany, France, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Poland and few more.
There is no negative marking in PTE. For choosing an incorrect answer, the marks given will be 0
The hardest topic that students find is Reading. This is followed by writing
It refers to the time gap in which one must start speaking in various speaking tests. After the prompt is read out, one must give a response in 3 seconds.
The PTE Exam scores are valid for 2 years.
There is no dress code for the PTE Exam except the candidates appearing for the exam cannot wear jackets, hoodies, scarves, caps etc.
