Mangalore University Admission 2023

1. Admission Process:
  - Admissions to the Post Graduate Degree/Diploma/Certificate programs at Mangalore University are conducted through the Unified University & College Management System (UUCMS).
  - Detailed information regarding the UUCMS process can be found at mangaloreuniversity.ac.in/mu-uucms.

2. Application Procedure for University Campus Programs:
  - Candidates seeking admission to Post Graduate programs at University Campus, Mangalagangothri, University College, Mangaluru, or University Evening College, Mangaluru must apply online via the UUCMS Portal at uucms.karnataka.gov.in/Login/Index.

3. Application Procedure for Affiliated Colleges and Government Colleges:
  - Candidates wishing to apply for P.G. programs at Affiliated Colleges of Mangalore University under the Government Quota (for Karnataka state students only) and at Government Colleges should also apply online through the UUCMS Portal at https://uucms.karnataka.gov.in/Login/Index.

4. Application Fee:
  - The application fee is Rs. 300/-. For SC/ST/Cat-1 candidates with a valid Caste Certificate, the fee is Rs. 150/-. An additional fee of Rs. 100/- is required for each extra program applied for.
  - All payments can be made through Challan/Demand Draft payable to the Finance Officer, Mangalore University, or online via the Online Fees Collection link on the university website: mangaloreuniversity.ac.in.

5. Document Submission:
  - Candidates are required to upload a passport-size photograph, signature, scanned copies of original marks cards, and other necessary documents for the respective programs.

6. Hard Copy Submission:
  - In addition to the online registration through the UUCMS Portal, candidates must submit hard copies of relevant documents, the fee-paid Challan/DD, and the duly filled application form obtained from the UUCMS Portal.
  - These documents should be submitted in person or sent by post to the concerned Chairperson/Coordinator of the Department/Programme at the University campus before the specified deadline.

Mangalore University Admission: PG Courses

Mangalore University offers M.Sc and MA programs with multiple specializations at the postgraduate level. To apply, you should have a Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks in the relevant field. Admission for these programs is based on your performance in an entrance test and previous academic records.

If you’re interested in Mangalore University MBA and MCA courses, you’ll need a graduation degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks. MU Karnataka Admission is based on your score in the Karnataka PGCET exam.

At the postgraduate level, Mangalore University offers programs like MCA, M.Lib.Sc, M.Com, MSW, M.Ed., and M.P.Ed. The eligibility criteria differ for each program. 

  • For M.Com, you should have a B.Com, BBA, or BBM degree with at least 45% marks. 
  • To join MCA, you need a BCA or a B.Sc in CS, Mathematics, Business Statistics, or Business Mathematics with a minimum of 50% marks. 
  • If you want to pursue M.Lib.Sc, you should have a relevant bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks. 
  • For M.P.Ed., a B.P.Ed. degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) is required. 
  • MSW applicants must have completed their graduation in a relevant field with at least 45% marks.

Mangalore University offers a Ph.D. program with various specializations and an intake of 22 students in Statistics and 8 seats in each other specialization. Mangalore University Admission: B.P.Ed

Mangalore University offers various academic programs. They have a B.P.Ed. program for 50 students, which includes 20 in the General Category and 30 in the Payment Category. To be eligible, you need a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with at least 45% marks. Admission is based on an entrance test, your qualifying exam marks, and your sports achievements.

Mangalore University Admission Application Processing

1. Preparation of Consolidated Merit List:
  - Eligible candidates seeking admission to various programs will be assessed based on their performance in the UG examination or a combination of the UG examination and an Entrance Test (for programs requiring it).
  - The concerned department will compile a Consolidated Merit List.

2. Announcement of Entrance Test Date:
  - For programs that include an Entrance Test, the date of the test will be made available on the University’s official website.

3. Preparation of Provisional Selection List:
  - A Provisional Selection List of candidates will be established using the Consolidated Merit List.

4. Display of Lists:
  - Both the Provisional Selection List and the Waiting List will be published on the University’s website.

5. Admission Counseling for Provisional Selection List Candidates:
  - Candidates on the Provisional Selection List must attend the admission counseling session, as per the date indicated on the University website, at the Mangalore University Campus, Mangalagangothri.
  - Personal intimation will not be sent to the selected candidates.

6. Admission Counseling for Waiting List and Partially Self-Financing Scheme Applicants:
  - Candidates on the Waiting List and those desiring admission under the Partially Self Financing Scheme must also participate in the admission counseling on the date specified on the University website at Mangalore University Campus, Mangalagangothri.

7. Document Requirements:
  - Provisionally selected candidates for admission must bring the following original documents and certificates:
    - Marks Cards
    - Transfer Certificate
    - Eligibility Certificate (required for candidates from Other Universities outside Karnataka)

8. Allocation of Vacant Seats:
