As per the NEET PG 2025 results, cutoff marks across all categories, including General/EWS, OBC, SC, ST, and UR-PwBD (2023 cohort), have fallen quite significantly to allow easier access for graduates pursuing postgraduate medical studies. The NEET PG 2025 examination was conducted on August 3, and 2,42,493 were registered and sitting candidates were 2,30,114 on exam day; over 1,28,000 candidates qualified for counselling.
The actual (cut offs) are General/EWS 276, SC/ST/OBC 235, and UR PwBD 255. The results were released much earlier than expected, resulting in the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) being able to fast track their process for NEET PG counselling which should include allocated seats for MD, MS, DNB, and postgraduate diploma programs for the academic session 2025-26. This will increase the number of medical graduates looking to finalise an allocation into their chosen speciality.
