WBJEE 2019 Syllabus

The WBJEE Syllabus is prepared and released for the benefit of the candidates aspiring to undertake the state level engineering entrance test for admission to undergraduate programmes across participating institutes.  WBJEE Syllabus includes topics and chapters from where questions in the entrance examination shall come. All the candidates must follow the WBJEE Syllabus 2018 and devise a corresponding plan of study.

WBJEE would be conducted in an online mode by WBJEEB on April 22 while WBJEE online application shall be available from December 19 to January 19, 2018.

Apart from being familiar with the WBJEE Syllabus, the candidates should also know about the WBJEE Exam Pattern. The candidates must make a plan of preparation accordingly.

WBJEE Exam Pattern Key Features

  1. WBJEE Exam would have questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics wherein the total number of marks would be 200 against 155 questions.
  2. Physics and Chemistry would have a total of 40 questions each, Mathematics section would have a total of 75 questions.
  3. There would be 3 categories of questions in the WBJEE Paper carrying a weight of 2 and 1 marks.
  4. 0.25 or 1/4 marks shall be deducted for incorrect answers.

WBJEE 2019 Exam Pattern

The WBJEE Exam Pattern has been defined by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. WBJEE Exam Pattern provides complete details about the overall structure of the WBJEE Examination. With the help of WBJEE Exam Pattern, candidates would be knowing about the examination mode, total count of papers, duration, questions and marks distribution and other associated details

WBJEE Exam would be held across 25 districts of states such as West Bengal, Assam and Tripura on April 22, 2018. Candidates seeking to know the exam pattern can refer to the details mentioned below and accordingly structure their preparation.

Candidates will have to appear for a written examination in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  • The mode of the exam will be offline.
  • 2 hours for Physics and Chemistry and 2 hours for Maths
  • Physics and Chemistry-80 questions for 100 marks;   Maths- 75 questions for 100 marks.
