NATA 2020 Application Procedure

The NATA Application has to be done online at the official NATA Portal. The Application Form is interactive in nature and the fields required to be filled would have to be categorized into different sections. The fields marked mandatory should be compulsorily filled up by the candidates. 

NATA Application Form consists of primarily 3 steps:

  1. Personal Details
  2. Document Uploading
  3. Fee Payment

Candidates would be required to fill their personal part and would then be directed to Document uploading. Once the documents get uploaded, the system would direct the candidate to fee payment. The candidate would be required to take a printout of the confirmation page generated on payment of fees. There is no need to send the document by post. 

The phases of the Application Procedure have been detailed as below:

Registration:

  1. Visit the official NATA Portal.
  2. By clicking on Register Now, the candidate would be directed to the Login Page.
  3. After clicking on Register Now, the mandatory fields can be clicked to log in.
  4. Once a candidate has successfully signed up, the candidate can log in with their chosen credentials.
  5. Candidates would be required to provide their login details to create their credentials.

Submission of Application Form:

  1. Login to NATA Portal with chosen credentials and click on Apply Now.
  2. The mandatory details are required to be mentioned in Appendix 3.
  3. The required documents should be uploaded, Preview button can be clicked and the Submit Button can be clicked to submit the application form.
  4. Once the application form is submitted, it shall be redirected to the Payment gateway Page. The required inputs should be provided for payment procedure. 
  5. Upon successful fee payment, the candidate would land up on the confirmation page. 

Uploading of images:

  1. Recent passport size photo
  2. The signature of the candidate
  3. Community Certificate issued by a competent authority in the case of SC/ST candidates only

The SC/ST Certificate would be subject to verification. If that is not found valid, the NATA Candidature shall be canceled.

A candidate applying for NATA 2019 would be required to pay INR 1800 as application fee in an online mode. This shall be inclusive of service fees charged by the Bank.

Processing charges are given below:

  • Domestic credit card: 1.25% of NATA fee + applicable service tax
  • Domestic debit card: 0.75% of NATA fee+ applicable service tax
  • Domestic multiple net banking gateways: INR 15/transaction
  • Collection through PAN India ICICI Branches: INR 30/transaction
  • For international credit/debit card payments, charges would apply as per bank policy.

Online: Payment can be done online through debit/credit card or net banking.

Offline: Applicants have to create challan for depositing payment through cash in any of the branches of ICICI Bank all over the country.

The candidate on successfully uploading personal details and documents would be directed to the page containing the process of payment of application fee.

The Confirmation page is generated on payment of application fees. The generation of the same means that the candidate has registered successfully. The candidate should take a printout of the same and keep it for future reference. There is no need to send any document to the council by post. 

A printout of the Confirmation Page would not provide admittance to the Test Center to take the examination. The candidate would have to take a printout of NATA Admit card when issued online. 

The online filling up of the Application Form is interactive in nature and would provide guidance to the candidate in the course of filling the application form. The candidate is expected to check properly and then fill details on the application form. In a normal situation, the requests for change of anything would not be entertained. 

An Admit card shall be issued to the candidate as per the notified schedule indicating the exam center and the downloadable version of the same shall be published on the webpage of the concerned candidate.

NATA 2020 Eligibility

NATA Eligibility Criteria has been detailed for the candidates as below:

  • Candidates may come from the following backgrounds:
  • (a) 10+2 or equivalent  with 50% aggregate marks with Mathematics as one of the subjects of examination;
  • b) 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central/State Govts with 50 % aggregate marks and mathematics as one of the subjects of examination;
  • (c) International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) after 10 years of schooling with 50 % marks and Mathematics as a compulsory subject of examination. 

The lower age limit of appearing for NATA 2019 has been waived off. However, the candidate must comply with any age constraints that might have been specified by the counseling authority. No direct lateral admission is allowed at any other year/stage of B.Arch. course 

The NATA score is valid for two years. Even if you have qualified the NATA, you will be eligible to take admission provided you fulfill the other eligibility criteria as well.


NATA 2020 Admit Card

NATA 2019 admit card is issued by the Council of Architecture (CoA). Here are a few details about the exam:

  • National Aptitude Test in architecture is abbreviated as NATA.
  • This is a National Level Exam conducted for those students in architecture courses like B.Arch offered by top institutions.
  • NATA scores are accepted by various Government, Government aided and private colleges/universities.

The Downloading procedure of NATA Admit Card is as follows: 

The Admit card of NATA would be available online only and the students must know the steps to download the same. The steps are mentioned as follows:

  1. Candidates would have to visit the official website.
  2. The admit card link would be available.
  3. The link needs to be visited.
  4. A new window would pop-up.
  5. Application number and birthday would have to be updated in the relevant column.
  6. The admit card can be downloaded and printouts can be used further.
