Kongu Engineering College Eligibility
For Undergraduate programs
- For admission to B. Tech. and B. E., the candidates must have passed senior secondary school with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science securing at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.
For Postgraduate Program
- Candidates seeking admission to M. E. and M. Tech. must possess a bachelor’s degree in the field of engineering & technology securing at least 505 marks in aggregate.
- For an MBA, the candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university.
- For admission to MCA, the candidates must have graduated in any field with Mathematics securing at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Kongu Engineering Courses include programs offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These programs are offered under various specializations, thus providing the students a pool of options to choose from.
Admission to B. E. and B. Tech. at Kongu Engineering College
- Candidates seeking admission to B. E. and B. Tech. must appear and qualify for the TNEA entrance examination conducted by Anna University.
- Candidates can also be shortlisted based on the merit list released by the university. Candidates are selected based on their academic performance.
Note* Candidates belonging to OBC and SC/ST categories are given a relaxation of up to 5% and 10% respectively.
Admission to M. E., M. Tech., MBA, and MCA at Kongu Engineering College
College offers M. E., M. Tech., MBA, and MCA programs at the postgraduate level under various specializations.
- Candidates seeking admission to M. E. and M. Tech. must hold a valid score in TANCET or GATE examinations.
- For admission to the MBA, the candidates must have qualified MAT or TANCET examinations. The shortlisting is done based on their marks obtained in MAT or TANCET.
- Candidates willing to be admitted to MCA must have a qualified TANCET examination.
- Candidates possessing a degree in BCA/B. Sc. (IT/CS) are also eligible for admission as lateral entry directly into 2nd year of MCA.
Application procedure of Kongu Engineering College
The college accepts an offline mode of application. Candidates seeking admission to any of the programs offered by the college must register themselves for the respective entrance examinations conducted.
- Candidates can obtain the application form by visiting the Kongu Engineering College admission office.
- Fill the application form correctly as any incorrect detail may lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
- In order to request the receipt of the application form, the candidates must send a Deman draft of INR 300 drawn in favor of “The Principal, Kongu Engineering College”, payable at Erode.

If I talk about the fee of the college then the tuition fee of the college was Rs 1.5 Lacs PA and the hostel fee of the college was Rs 60,000 per year and I have given no entrance examination for the admissions and from 2014 to 2018 I have studied here and this college is affilaited with the Anna University

The stream of my Btech was Electrical Engineering and this was an awesome college in the city and if I talk about the fee structure so that is Rs 1.5 Lac annually and the hostel fee was Rs 76,000 per year and the batch was started in the year 2012 and ended in year 2016.
