What is Polytechnic Exam?

Polytechnic Entrance Exam is commonly known as POLYCET, which stands for Polytechnic Common Entrance Test. POLYCET is managed and administered by the concerned Governmental authorities of the respective states. The entrance exam is meant for people who want to start their career early after Class 12th.

State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) conducts Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Entrance Exam (AP POLYCET) for admissions into the Diploma of Engineering throughout Andhra Pradesh. Candidates seeking admission into private, as well as government polytechnic colleges and institutes, sign up for the exam.

  • The result for AP POLYCET was declared on 18th June 2022.
  • Counselling and document verification sessions will be conducted in the 3rd week of July and seats will be allotted in the 4th week of July.

Assam PAT Admission 2022

The directorate of Technical Education of Assam conducts Assam Polytechnic Admission Test (Assam PAT) for admission into various polytechnical colleges and institutions spread across Assam. The Assam PAT is conducted on a yearly basis.

DCECE Admission 2022 (Bihar)

DCECE stands for Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination. Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts DCECE for admissions into full-time as well as part-time Diploma of Engineering courses in Bihar Polytechnic colleges. CG PPT Admission 2022

CG PPT is an abbreviation for Chhattisgarh Pre Polytechnic Test. It is a state-level entrance examination conducted for entry into Government and non-government polytechnic colleges of Chhattisgarh. The examination is held every year.

Delhi CET Admission 2022

The Department of Training and Technical Education (DTTE) conducts the Delhi Common Entrance Test (CET) for granting admissions into polytechnic courses offered at the institutes affiliated with the Board of Technical Education (BTE).

HP PAT Admission 2022

HP PAT is short for Himachal Pradesh Polytechnic Entrance Test. It is an offline exam conducted by Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board (HPTSB) Dharamshala for admissions into AICTE-approved Polytechnics and registered ITIs, approved by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) & State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).

MP PAT Admission 2022

Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) conducts the Madhya Pradesh Pre-Polytechnic Test (MP PAT) to grant admissions in several diploma courses in the colleges and institutes in Madhya Pradesh. It is a state-level exam conducted once a year.

JEXPO Admission 2022

Haryana Polytechnic DET

Haryana Polytechnic Diploma Entrance Test (DET) is a state-level polytechnic admission process organized by the Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES). HSTES conducts these examinations for admissions for granting admissions in diploma, pharmacy, and lateral entry into a diploma.

Haryana Polytechnic DET Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

The first step is to apply for sitting in the examination. Eligibility criteria allow candidates who have completed Class 10th from any state or central board to sit for the examinations. The application mode is online. After examination, the HSTES council conducts counselling sessions. To appear in counselling sessions, candidates must register online. The counsellors assign the colleges based on the DET score of the student and his/her college and course preference if available.

Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission 2022

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra manages the entrance examinations and conducts the admission procedure for polytechnic courses. The Maharashtra council organizes the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for admission into Maharashtra polytechnic colleges.

Maharashtra Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

10th Passed or SSC or equivalent level students are eligible for applying to Maharashtra Polytechnic Colleges. Candidates must visit the official website of Maharashtra DTE to fill in the choices and CAP form for appearing in CAP counselling sessions. When the Maharashtra DTE releases the CAP Round 1 Provincial Allotment notification, the selected candidates must appear in person at the admission reporting Centre to make the admission process hassle-free. In the same manner, the CAP round will follow. The student must visit the college to complete the admission process after selection.

Rajasthan Polytechnic 2022

In Rajasthan, there is no polytechnic entrance exam for admissions. Admissions are based on the merit list, which is published along with the 10th class score of the candidates. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) administers the admission procedure for polytechnic admissions in the state of Rajasthan. Whatsoever, the norms are subject to change as per the directives of DTE.

Rajasthan Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

  • Students must have passed 10th Class from any school in Rajasthan recognized by the state or centre board of education to become eligible to apply for polytechnic admission.
  • Candidates seeking admission into polytechnic colleges must register themselves at the official website of Rajasthan Polytechnic DTE. Once the merit list is published, the students need to fill in the choices and register for counselling sessions. Post counselling, the students will be allotted a college of their choice, which they must visit physically to complete the admission process. Those students who don't get allotted in the first counselling session have the chance of getting admission in the second counselling.

Kerala Polytechnic 2022

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) supervises and conducts the admission process for polytechnic aspiring candidates in Kerala. There are no specific entrance exams for Kerala Polytechnic admission. The admissions are based on prior academic records.

Kerala Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

Eligibility criteria for the Kerala Polytechnic entrance exam are passing class 10th, SSLC, THSLC, or equivalent examination from the approved state or central board of education. The aspiring students must register on the official website with the aggregate score of Class 10th or other suggested examination results. Candidates must update their college and course choices. The DTE releases a provincial merit list and conducts counselling sessions correspondingly. The Council allots the seats as per student choices, after which students have to appear in person in the college to fulfil the remaining admission requirements.

Odisha Polytechnic 2022

The State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training (SCTE&VT) is responsible for conducting admission processes in diploma engineering colleges in the state of Odisha. Since there are no entrance examinations, the admission process is entirely merit-based. SAMS or Student Academic Management System conducts and manages polytechnic courses.

Odisha Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

Class 10th passed students from the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha is considered eligible for admission into Odisha Polytechnic courses. Interested students have to visit SAMS + 3 other websites to register themselves for the counselling sessions. Students must fill in the details related to past academic records, and choice of course/college and submit the application form. The students will be assigned colleges under multiple rounds of counselling sessions. Once selected, the candidates have to visit the college for further admission formalities.
