Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga Admission 2025

Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) is accepting applications for the 2025 academic session via online and offline modes. Students can get a seat available by answering by academic merit and qualifying by the entrance examination (either common entrance tests or national level entrance examinations depending on the programme or course). The most common national levels of entrance exams include MAT and CMAT. The university also conducts their own Common Entrance Test (CET) for other programmes.

The admission process consists of basically these steps:

  • Registration and Application Submission
The students need to visit the official website of LNMU and register first, after which they can complete their applications as directed, filling out the course specific application form by providing the accurate personal details, and filling in the academic history and uploading required documents.
  • Entrance Examination (when applicable)
For several programmes, admission requires a valid exam score (MAT or CMAT). Students who do not have one of those scores can opt for the LNMU CET, which is conducted by the university. Various eligibility (age, academic, etc.) for each course varies. All candidates will need to make sure that they fulfill all the age and academic eligibility requirements before they appear.
  • Verification of Documents
All shortlisted candidates must also show original documents for verification. When verification is done, the credentials required can vary, but generally speaking, it does include mark sheets, transfer/migration certificates, proof of domicile, caste/category certificates (if applicable), and a valid photo ID. All credentials must be authentic and up-to-date to avoid disqualification from the admission process.
  • Merit List Publication
After the entrance examination and/or previous educational data, LNMU makes a merit list that is published and uploaded to the university's official website. The merit list is important as only those candidates who appear on that page are being considered for admission as they move on to the next stage in the admissions process.
  • Final Admissions and Fee Payment Confirmation
Candidates offered admission must confirm their seat by paying the prescribed amount of the LNMU admission fee by the deadline set by the university. Any candidates who do not confirm their space in the program by paying their fee in the allotted time may lose their offer and their space in the new program will go to the next candidate on the waiting list.
