Understanding the Cutoff
The RMLAU cutoff 2025 shows clear differences between branches. Computer Science Engineering is the most preferred branch, so its closing rank stays the lowest (around 2.55 lakh in Round 1). Information Technology also remains in high demand but still goes above 4 lakh in later rounds.
But branches like Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering have very high closing ranks, crossing 13–14 lakh, which shows that these seats are less competitive compared to CS or IT. Electronics and Communication Engineering has a cutoff that goes to 14 lakh in Round 3. This data shows what the cutoff percentage is usually each year for every branch.
Key Points
- The RMLAU B.Tech cutoff 2025 depends on different things – like how many students apply, how many seats are there, and the reservation rules. The ranks also change with every round since many students withdraw or upgrade their seats.
- Branches like Computer Science (CSE) and IT are always in demand, so their cutoff ranks stay much lower. On the other hand, Civil and Mechanical usually go higher, which makes them easier to get into for students with higher ranks.
- This data is from UPTAC 2025 counseling, so it will not stay the same next year. It can change depending on the situation and the number of applications.
- The cutoff being on the higher end means the students prefer the said course more than the others. If you are aiming for CSE or IT, you’ll need a stronger score and a better rank. But if you are open to courses like Civil or Mechanical, the cutoffs are more relaxed, and you have a better chance of admission.
