Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University (RMLAU), Lucknow Admission 2025-2026: Eligibility, Admission Process and Timeline

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, also called RMLAU, is in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. It was set up in 1975 and since then it has grown into one of the important universities of the state. The university offers different types of courses – undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate and PhD in arts, science, commerce, management, law and also technical fields. The campus has classrooms, labs and a library to support students.

Admission Process

For the 2025–26 session, admissions will be done online. Students have to apply through the official admission portal.

For UG courses, admission is on merit of 12th marks.

For PG and PhD courses, some courses may need entrance exams.

The process is simple: fill the online form, upload documents, pay the registration fee, and for entrance-based courses, download the admit card and appear for the exam. After results, seat allotment and counseling will happen as per the course.

• For UG – pass in 10+2 from a recognized board.
• For PG – bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
• For PhD – master’s degree with a minimum 55% (50% for reserved). Some departments also conduct entrance exams or ask for a research proposal.

Fee Structure

Fees depend on the program. Arts and science courses have lower fees, while technical and professional courses like MBA, MCA, BPharm or MTech are on the higher side. Other categories like ex-servicemen, physically disabled students and wards of freedom fighters are also given reservations.
