Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary, Anurag Jain, has urged state education authorities to intensify efforts to enhance the results of Class 10 and 12 board examinations. In the academic year 2024-25, over 87% of students cleared Class 10 exams, while approximately 83% passed Class 12 exams.
During a recent meeting with officials from various state departments and schools, Jain emphasized that improving school performance is critical for achieving broader developmental goals. He called for focused measures to elevate board exam results in the coming academic sessions.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav echoed this focus on education quality, instructing officials to increase the gross enrolment ratio, reduce dropout rates, and ensure the timely distribution of scholarships to eligible students.
Jain also highlighted the importance of teacher accountability, urging government schools to achieve 100% teacher attendance. He recommended full utilization of the e-Attendance app, which has already recorded 94% compliance in Rajgarh district. He warned of strict action against teachers found negligent in their duties.
To improve student retention, Jain instructed officials to strengthen links between Anganwadi centers and schools, ensuring children continue their education through secondary levels. Additionally, he directed prompt delivery of scholarships and other benefits, including mandatory registration on the National Scholarship Portal for students from Class 9 up to college.
These initiatives form part of a larger drive by the Madhya Pradesh government to enhance the overall quality of education, improve academic outcomes, and ensure equitable access to educational resources across the state.
