The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has declared that in academic session 2025-26, students in the MPBSE Class 10 and MPBSE Class 12 board examinations will not be required to submit an APAAR ID with their exam application form.
In an official communication, this relaxation is part of a phased introduction of the unique identifier, the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID, being introduced under National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
What Students Should Know
- Session 2025–26: Students can complete their board exam registration without an APAAR ID.
- Session 2026–27 onwards: Possession of an APAAR ID will be compulsory for all exam applications.
- Generation of APAAR ID: The ID will be issued through the UDISE portal using Aadhaar-based authentication.
- Purpose: APAAR will serve as a lifelong digital academic profile, recording each student’s educational milestones in a centralized system.
Why This Is Important
The one-year grace period allows both institutions and students time to become familiar with the APAAR system before it's a compulsory requirement. However, from the 2026–27 session onwards, Madhya Pradesh students will only be able to submit their board exam forms with an APAAR ID. This step embraces the larger vision of NEP 2020 to create a seamless and digitized academic repository for learners nationwide.
