MAT 2020 Eligibility

Candidates willing to take MAT 2020 must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the concerned authorities. The candidates applying for the exam must possess a bachelor's degree in any field. One positive aspect of this exam is that the candidates can take the examination in either paper based or computer-based mode. MAT Exam is one of the MBA entrance examinations conducted across the country for admission to elite business institutions.

Candidates in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply for MAT Exam.

The All India Management Association (AIMA), being the conducting authority of MAT Examination has laid down a certain set of eligibility criteria to ensure admission to various management institutes. Possessing a bachelor's degree is one primary requirement to be eligible to take the exam.

Key Points of MAT Eligibility

  • Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in any field from a recognized university.
  • The degree should have been completed in minimum 3 years of duration.
  • Candidates in final year of graduation can also apply.
  • Candidates with a professional degree such as CA/CS/ICWA are also eligible to apply.

The registration process for MAT 2020 February started from 28th December 2019 and the candidates are advised to apply before 30th January 2020 and 9th February 2020 for Computer Based Test and Paper Based Test modes respectively

Candidates applying must know the following:

  • It must be noted that there is no age bar set to apply for MAT 2020.
  • The exam is conducted in both computer based and paper based mode.
  • Candidates can choose either of the two modes based on their convenience.
  • They can also choose for both the modes.

Candidates applying for MAT 2020 February are not required to possess any kind of work experience to be eligible for taking the examination and there is no restriction to number of attempts a candidate can take. Candidates can apply for the examination as many times as they want. Candidates willing to take the exam must be aware of MAT Exam Pattern as it clearly explains what type of questions would be asked in the exam and they should study.

Along with the freedom of number of attempts, there is no such age bar set for applying. Candidates of any age group can apply for MAT Exam.
