The counducting body MAT Exam i.e. All India Management Association also known as AIMA has defined a set of MAT Eligibility Criteria for students willing to take MAT Exam. Due to the outbreak of pandemic COVID-19 across the world, the association has introduced Remotely Proctored Internet Based Test shortened as IBT wherein students taking exam can take the test from their home while maintaining social distancing and abiding by the precautionary measures taken socially.
Candidates willing to take MAT 2023 must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the concerned authorities. The candidates applying for the exam must possess a bachelor's degree in any field. One positive aspect of this exam is that the candidates can take the examination in either paper based or internet-based mode. MAT Exam is one of the MBA entrance examinations conducted across the country for admission to elite business institutions.
The All India Management Association (AIMA), being the conducting authority of MAT Examination has laid down a certain set of eligibility criteria to ensure admission to various management institutes. Possessing a bachelor's degree is one primary requirement to be eligible to take the exam.

Candidates applying for MAT 2023 September are not required to possess any kind of work experience to be eligible for taking the examination and there is no restriction to number of attempts a candidate can take. Candidates can apply for the examination as many times as they want. Candidates willing to take the exam must be aware of MAT Exam Pattern as it clearly explains what type of questions would be asked in the exam and they should study.
Along with the freedom of number of attempts, there is no such age bar set for applying. Candidates of any age group can apply for MAT Exam.
If the candidates appearing in the final year of graduation happen to qualify the examination, they are, in any case, required to submit the proof of the completion of graduation.

There is a huge difference between the minimum educational requirement to take admission via MAT Exam score and taking admission based on MBA colleges' eligibility criteria. Below mentioned are some of the differences that candidates must be aware of:

As per the All India Management Association, the conducting body of MAT Exam, candidates with a bachelor's degree in any field are eligible to take MAT Exam. Besides, candidates pursuing their final degree of graduation also stand eligible for the exam. It implies, a candidate is considered eligible to write MAT Exam with a bachelor's degree of at least 3 years of duration or equivalent in any discipline.
Candidates completing their final year of graduation or final graduation exam are also considered eligible for admission to MBA program offered by several MAT Accepting Colleges. In case final year candidates are shortlisted, they will be allowed to join the program provisionally. These candidates will also be required to submit a certificate approved by their Principal or registrar of the college. This certificate must state that the candidate has completed all the requirements of obtaining a bachelor's degree or any equivalent qualification.
Students can get admission to any national or international business school based on their performance in MAT Exam. They would be required to present their MAT Scorecard at the time of admission.
Management Aptitude Test shortened as MAT Exam is a business entrance examination conducted at the national level for admission to the elite and reputed management institutions across the country. The examination is conducted by All Indian Management Association (AIMA) and the exam takes place four times in a year.
