Admission
Admission in Under Graduate Law Courses:
For admission in LL.B. courses, BHU conducts two university-level entrance examinations i.e. UET in the month of April and May every year.
Admissions are provided according to the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination.
The candidate seeking admission in LL.B. (Hons.) must have completed B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com/ Shastry with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate.
The candidate who has completed any graduate degree in 10+2+3 pattern recognized by the Bar Council of India can also apply for admission in BHU Law Faculty.
For admission in B.A. LL.B., the university conducts entrance examination i.e. UET in the third or fourth week of May.
For B.A. LL.B., the candidate must have passed class XII with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate from a recognized board. A relaxation of 5 percent is provided to the candidates of the reserved category.
Admission in Post Graduate Courses:
Candidates seeking admission in LL.M. must have passed graduation in the relevant subject from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
Admissions in Ph.D.:
The candidate must have completed Postgraduation in the relevant field.
The candidate must qualify the Common Research Entrance Test (CRET) conducted by the university in the month of March or July.
The candidate who has qualified UGC NET/ JRF are exempted from the entrance examination.
