The Central University of Jammu came into existence in 2011, it was established under the Central Universities Act of 2009. The university's mission is to impart education and inculcate self-confidence which when combined with disciplined study, leads to faith in one's strength and conviction. CUJ aims to develop talent sustainable growth in academics, administration, business, and research by emphasizing organized thought and self-discipline. The university has a Central Placement Cell which provides placement to students in reputed MNCs, Government Organizations, and NGOs. The Training and Placement Cell believes in bridging the skill gap and offering relevant job opportunities to the students. It trains students to be prepared to face upcoming professional and personal challenges through meticulously designed curriculum and problem-solving exercises and workshops conducted. Central University Jammu graciously welcomes esteemed Organizations and Recruiters for the upcoming Placement season. The Central Placement Cell of the Central University of Jammu aspires to facilitate and provide suitable placement to students in reputed multinational companies, private sector companies, Government organizations, and NGOs. The cell also prepares the students for the industry by providing them pre-placement training and skills.

Central University of Jammu Placement Highlight
As per the NIRF report 2023 released by the Central University of Jammu, the median package for the PG 2-year program 2022 stood at INR 3.10 LPA. The median package for 2021 for the PG 2-year programs was INR 3.60 LPA. There was a fall of nearly 14% witnessed in the PG 2-year median package offered in 2022 as compared with 2021. As per the reports provided on the official website of the university, the Highest Package offered to MBA students was INR 7.25 LPA. The top recruiters of the Central University of Jammu were EaseMyTrip, Intellipaat, iNurture, AARK, Indiamart, Planet Spark, Byju's, etc.

Jammu University is one of the top ranking university of India. Admission in every department is done by the different entrance exams.. For MBA admission process is proceeded by MAT, CAT’s scoring .
