About Bishop Heber College: Bishop Heber College, located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, is a Christian Minority educational school. The Bishop Heber College Courses, specializations, eligibility and selection criteria are given in the table below:
- BA History: Public administration and the operation of the Indian Constitution are given particular attention. The Department offers a skill-based course in tourism.
- BA Economics: For students who desire to pursue degrees in professional fields like business, management, or law, this undergraduate curriculum offers a strong foundation.
- BA English: Writing for the Media and Functional English are offered as extra-disciplinary courses in addition to the regular Core Courses like Poetry, Drama, Prose, Fiction, Indian Writing in English, Shakespeare, New Literature, Literary Forms, etc.

Bishop Heber College PG Admission 2023
The college provides Master’s degrees in a variety of fields as well as professional courses such as MCA and MBA. Except for MCA, which is three years long, other PG courses are two years long. It also provides PG Diploma programmes in a variety of specialisations.
- Admission to MCA and MBA programmes will be given based on TANCET scores and the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) administered by Anna University.
- Candidates for other degree courses such as M.A, M.Sc, MSW, M.Com, and M.Li.Sc are admitted on the basis of merit in the qualifying degree.

Key Points: Admissions to PG Diploma programmes are based on a first-come, first-served policy and require a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Candidates for the B. LI. Sc. degree will be admitted immediately to the second year of the programme.
Bishop Heber College M.Phil and PhD. Admission 2023
The college also offers admission to M.Phil. and PhD programmes in a variety of specialisations within several fields. Bharthidasan University offers admission to full-time and part-time M.Phil programmes based on the merit of the qualifying degree. Bharthidasan University conducts written tests and interviews for Ph.D. admissions. Every year, applications for Ph.D. programmes are accepted in the months of December, March, June, and September. M.Phil admissions are open to students with a Master’s degree and a CGPA of 5.51 on a 10-point scale. Any candidate, regardless of employment, can take a part-time M.Phil course if they meet the basic eligibility conditions.
