JoSAA 2025 Counselling (June 3): Registration, Eligibility, Required Documents, Mock Alottment

Registration for JoSAA 2025 is likely to open on June 3, a day after the results of JEE Advanced 2025 is announced.  The choice filling and online application form for JoSAA 2025 will be uploaded only on the official portal, josaa.nic.in.  The JoSAA official website has been refreshed for the 2025–2026 session, and no dates or other details have been released yet. For admissions to IITs, NITs, IIESTs, IIITs, and other GFTIs, JoSAA counselling is done nationwide by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

JEE Advanced 2025 ranks will be used for IIT admissions and JEE Main 2025 ranks will be used for allotments to NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs. The counselling of JoSAA 2025 will be conducted in five rounds. The following processes will be carried out in each round: seat allotment, acceptance of the seat by the candidate, online reporting to the respective institution, and fee payment. The leftover vacant seats after all the rounds will be filled by the CSAB counselling 2025. The site josaa.nic.in will upload the full schedule and dates of the JoSAA 2025 counselling round.

With the aim of getting admission to the desired UG engineering courses provided by the IITs, NITs, IIESTs, IIITs, and other GFTIs, all the candidates who clear the JEE Advanced 2025 test and hold JEE Main ranks are required to register for JoSAA counselling. The JoSAA 2025 website will also provide details of the academic courses and the JoSAA seat matrix, i.e., the intake on a category-wise. There were 59,937 seats in all these colleges during the previous session. Check all the JoSAA 2025 details below, including eligibility, application procedure, counselling, seat matrix, etc.

JoSAA Mock Alottement

JoSAA mock allotment is a practice seat allotment process carried out prior to actual seat allotment rounds. Candidates get to see how their preferences and ranks could impact seat allotments. Students receive a provisional allotment based on their preference and JEE ranks so that they can make more informed choices.

JoSAA usually organises two mock allotments, providing candidates with a chance to change and reset their preferences prior to final locking. This process enhances transparency and prevents mistakes from happening in the real counselling process.
